Painting II: The Figure in Grisaille – Fall 2019

Study the figure by painting the model in grisaille (grayscale). This time honored tradition is a wonderful way to explore the form of the figure without the added challenge of color. Pre-requisite: Drawing class with Sarah Burns. This class will have two poses, with four weeks for each pose. The first session will have a slide talk with examples of grisaille figure paintings made by contemporary and historical artists. Each class will begin with a demo.
