
Winter nights are long! Take advantage of this extra darkness to make a night painting. Learn the science of color and how our eyes see in low light conditions. We will cover theoretical and practical strategies for making nocturnes, using both direct observation and photo reference. Each student will create their own night painting.

Sketchbook with pencil and kneaded eraser
Painting materials of artists choice, can be oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache etc.
Small to medium sized painting surface
